If you have ever ran more than a couple of miles at a time, you know it is essential to have some sort of hydration with you. But holy cannoli can that be overwhelming with all the options out there!
Did you know: On average you lose about a liter of sweat per hour of running?
Hydration Vests
My personal favorite for longer runs (6+ miles or 1 hour+) is a hydration vest. It has enough room for your water, your favorite sports drink, your phone and of course a few snacks for along the way. It also has plenty of room for anything else you need to carry; like keys or, in my case, an inhaler.
Right now, I am loving the CamelBak Women’s Ultra Pro Running Hydration Vest.
My last long run was 10 miles and just over 2 hours. I was able to store 2 CamelBack 17oz Quick Stow Flasks, one with ice water and one with LiquidIV, in each of the front pockets, a couple of graham crackers, an apple sauce pouch that I stole from my toddler's stash, my phone, and my inhaler.
